One of the funnest parts of the SUP racing season, the EuroTour, has just announced its schedule for the 2018 European Summer of SUP. Featuring 10 races in 10 weeks across 8 different nations, and with everything from flat water racing to downwinders to beach races in iconic surf towns, this is the most diverse mix of conditions and destinations the Tour has ever seen.
Catering to both the pros and the average joes, the EuroTour has built itself into the largest (and did I mention: funnest?) tour in the sport over the past few years. Part race series, part adventure, part European summer holiday, these 10 weeks in Europe are always a highlight of the season. → READ MORE
As a mix of light rain and sporadic sunshine drifted in across the Baltic Sea and onto the sands Scharbeutz, Germany late Sunday morning, Australia’s Michael Booth could be seen doing what he does best: paddling away from a group of other world-class paddlers to record yet another win on the European Summer of SUP, aka the EuroTour.
With his victory at Scharbeutz on the weekend, Boothy added an exclamation point to an incredible European campaign that saw him win almost every major race en route to claiming the overall EuroTour champion’s title. Along the way, he defeated the likes of Connor Baxter, Titouan Puyo and a dozen or so more of the world’s best in addition to virtually all of Europe’s finest. And he did it in style. → READ MORE
Connor Baxter has shown yet again why he’s almost permanently ranked number one in the world, pulling clear in the closing stages of today’s windy, unpredictable and exciting distance race here at the Mercedes-Benz ‘SUP World Cup’ in Scharbeutz, Germany to narrowly claim the overall event title ahead of Lincoln Dews and Arthur Arutkin.
After battling through five laps of the bumpy course, where the howling offshore wind produced everything from downwind to sidewind to headwind conditions that splintered the field early and produced big time gaps on the results sheet, Connor somehow found another gear in the final few hundred metres to win by about four board lengths. → READ MORE

Fiona Wylde and Lincoln Dews have taken top honours on day one of the Mercedes-Benz SUP World Cup in Germany, out-sprinting an elite field of European and international stars to salute in the seaside town of Scharbeutz.
Fiona won an intense side-by-side battle with fellow pocket rocket Manca Notar, with the youngsters paddling clear of Olivia Piana, Angie Jackson, Terrene Black, Susak Molinero, Yuka Sato and Sonni Honscheid in the eight-woman final.
Manca looked like taking the race early on, opening up a lead on the second leg of the short, tight “M-shaped” course, before Fiona reeled her in and finally passed her on the sprint back in to the beach. → READ MORE

Well, almost. The traditional barometer of the Summer of SUP, the EuroTour, gets an early start this year on the paradisaical Greek island of Crete, where this weekend’s “Agios Nikolaos on SUP” festival will transform the postcard-perfect town of the same name into the first of 12 Tour stops.

Connor Baxter and Sonni Hönscheid have claimed victories at the Mercedes-Benz SUP World Cup here in Germany today, overcoming an elite field and a rollercoaster of wild and beautiful weather to claim the overall wins at the seaside town of Scharbeutz.
Connor sure did it the hard way though: After finishing runner-up to Casper Steinfath in yesterday’s sprints, the Starboard superstar once again had to settle for 2nd place today, with Michael Booth conquering this afternoon’s 10km ‘Super Lap’ course race. But with Casper slipping back to 4th today and Boothy having a shocker on Saturday, Connor snuck to the top of the overall event standings, and in doing so took home the lion’s share of the $25k prize purse. → READ MORE
